titleOfInvention | Protein for specifically inducing apoptosis in cancer cells and method for isolating the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention affects apoptosis (programmed cell death) in prostate cancer cells (LNCAP), leukemia cells (HL-60), breast cancer cells (MCF-70), and normal human lung fibroblasts (CCD39Lu) The present invention provides a method for isolating a protein that is specifically induced without giving a protein. P-1 has no effect on breast cancer cells. Five proteins were isolated from conditioned media of cultured cells: (1) Apogen P-1 was a protein isolated from conditioned media of XC cells (Apogen P-1a, Apogen P-1b, Apogen). P-1c) without affecting normal human lung fibroblasts (CCD39Lu), colon cancer cells (T84), breast cancer cells (MCF-7), and leukemia cells (HL-60). (LNCAP) can induce apoptosis. (2) Apogen P-2 is a protein isolated from a conditioned medium of C3H1OT1 / 2 cells, and has no effect on normal human lung fibroblasts (CCD39Lu) and colon cancer cells (T84) without affecting prostate. Apoptosis can be induced in cancer cells (LNCAP) and breast cancer cells (MCF-7). (3) Apogen L is a protein isolated from the conditioned medium of XC cells and affects normal human lung fibroblasts (CCD39Lu), colon cancer cells (T84), and prostate cancer cells (LNCAP). Apoptosis can be induced in leukemia cells (HL-60) and breast cancer cells (MCF-7). The present invention may lead to the discovery of a new class of anti-cancer agents targeting prostate, breast, leukemia and other cancers by inducing apoptosis in cancer cells without affecting normal cells. |
