abstract |
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION A method for adsorbing pelleted adsorbents and toxic target compositions provides for destructive adsorption or chemisorption of toxic or undesirable compositions. The pellet-shaped adsorbent is produced by pressing microcrystalline particle powder composed of metal hydroxide or metal oxide at a pressure of about 50 psi to 6000 psi to form an independent mass. The pelletized mass has at least 25% each of the starting surface area per unit mass of the metal particles and the total pore volume. |
