titleOfInvention | Kunitz domain polypeptides and materials and methods for their production |
abstract | (57) SUMMARY A proteinase inhibitor comprising a Kunitz domain is disclosed. The Kunitz domain comprises the sequence of amino acid residues set forth in SEQ ID NO: 5, wherein the sequence of the amino acid residues is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO: 2. Also disclosed are methods for producing proteinase inhibitors, and expression vectors and cultured cells useful in the methods. Proteinase inhibitors can be used as components of cell culture media, in protein purification, and in certain therapeutic and diagnostic applications. |
