abstract | (57) [Summary]nA yellow hot melt adhesive traffic sign composition is described. The yellow hot melt adhesive traffic sign composition comprises 10-25 weight percent of the hot melt adhesive binder; 1,5- or 1,8-substituted anthraquinone aromatic thioether and 1,5- or 1,8-substituted anthraquinone aromatic. It contains 5-10 weight percent of a thermally stable 1,5- or 1,8-substituted anthraquinone colorant selected from Group III thioether polyesters, and 65-85 weight percent filler. The yellow hot melt adhesive traffic sign compositions of the present invention may also contain other ingredients used in traffic sign compositions such as reflective aids, plasticizers, and impact modifiers. Other optional components are discussed below. The yellow hot melt adhesive traffic sign composition can be applied to any pavement surface. |
