(57) Summary The pharmaceutical composition comprises as active ingredients a compound according to Formula 1436 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient. Various pharmaceutical products containing the pharmaceutical composition may be manufactured. Such pharmaceutical products may be used for the treatment of cancers such as leukemia; inflammation; arthritis; and viruses such as HSV. Also described is the use of the pharmaceutical composition. In these methods, administration of an effective amount of the pharmaceutical composition treats various diseases or activates or inhibits other bodily functions. For example, inflammation, arthritis, herpes simplex virus, melanoma, and leukemia may be treated by administering an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition. By administering effective amounts of these pharmaceutical compositions, viral replication, weight gain, and production of growth factors can be inhibited. By administering an effective amount of the pharmaceutical composition, appetite can be suppressed and a diuretic effect can be obtained. |
