titleOfInvention | Method for direct selection of antigen-specific T cells |
abstract | (57) Summary The present invention provides a method for convenient analysis and cell separation of antigen-specific T cells. This method is based on one or more products secreted by these cells in response to antigenic stimulation. The T cells are provided with a capture moiety for the product. This can then be used directly in some cases as a label, or the bound product can be further labeled via a label moiety that specifically binds to the product. It is then labeled with a traditional labeling substance (eg, a fluorophore, radioisotope, chromophore or magnetic particle). The labeled cells are then separated based on these labels using standard cell sorting techniques. Such techniques include flow cytometry, magnetic gradient separation, centrifugation, and the like. |
