abstract (57) Abstract: A method for inhibiting protein kinase which is SAPK2a / p38 but not mammalian SAPK2a / p38 or SAPK2b / p38β2 but has threonine or a less bulky residue at a position corresponding to Thr106. A method comprising exposing a kinase to a pyridinyl imidazole inhibitor is provided. The protein kinase may be a type I or type II TGFβ receptor.
