abstract | SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is a method of bonding a denture (1,10) to a tissue surface of a jaw on which a denture is superimposed during use. This involves providing an irreversible hydrocolloid to the alginate impression formulation liquid at the interface between the denture and the jaw tissue (5,15); Applying pressure to the denture to flow into a suitable surface; and curing the hydrocolloid within the interface. A new class of relatively thin film curable hydrocolloid denture aids, coagulations, and the resulting cushioning thin film denture aids are also described. |
