titleOfInvention | Methods for reducing non-specific binding to nucleic acid probe arrays |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides various methods for reducing non-specific binding of a target molecule or molecules to an array of oligonucleotides. The methods of the present invention include surface modification techniques and oligonucleotide modification techniques. According to one method of the invention, non-specific binding of a target molecule to an array of oligonucleotides comprises: i) a protecting group on each of the plurality of oligonucleotides; and ii) a protecting group on each of the protected regions of the substrate. By replacing at least one of the above with a negatively charged phosphate residue. |
