(57) [Summary] An analyte testing device that can use a very small amount of a body fluid sample, for example, blood to be analyzed for glucose level. The device has a capillary tube (2) arranged on a test strip that takes a sample fluid and transfers it by capillary action to a test matrix on the test strip. According to this capillary tube, a predetermined amount of sample fluid can be used, and the patient can surely transfer the required amount of test fluid to the testing device. This device allows a diabetic patient to take a very small blood sample at any part of the body without taking a droplet-sized sample on the fingertip. This device can weigh 3 μL of a blood sample from the surface of the skin with the tip of a capillary tube. Test results are obtained with an instrument that can read chemical changes in the test matrix. |
