SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention can be used with a plasma display (11) to reduce post-assembly reflections to acceptable levels, increase contrast enhancement ratios, reduce EMI emissions, and improve consumer safety regulations. A device in the form of a single filter (14) that functions to reduce levels to meet military and aircraft standards and to reduce infrared transmission in the range of 800 nm to 1000 nm to a level that does not interfere with IR remote control operation.
