abstract | (57) [Summary]n The present invention relates to a method of selecting a solid tumor that expresses HLA-G and is susceptible to anti-cancer therapy, which therapy suppresses or prevents HLA-G activity of the tumor, and uses thereof. The method can establish either the HLA-G transcription profile of a solid tumor or the HLA-G expression profile of a solid tumor. Methods for establishing HLA-G transcription profiles include (i) removal of tumor samples; (ii) extraction of mRNA; (iii) reverse transcription (RT) of the RNA; (iv) specific for each HLA-G isoform. Continuous or simultaneous amplification of the cDNA obtained in (iii) in the presence of various primers and analysis of the amplification products obtained by electrophoresis and / or specific hybridization, and (v) HLA of the sample -G Establishing a transcription profile. Methods for establishing the HLA-G expression profile include (i) removal of a tumor sample; (ii) labeling of cells in the sample, if necessary; (iii) performing cell lysis; Contacting the isolated cells with various antibodies against class I HLA-G antigens to form HLA-G isoform / antibody complexes as needed, and (v) determining the HLA-G expression profile of the sample.
