abstract | (57) [Summary]nA method for preparing a printing member or a printing member precursor, comprising contacting a substrate with an aqueous formulation comprising a polyester having pendant hydrophilic groups, wherein said polyester is optionally mixed with a second compound. The pendant hydrophilic group can be selected from an alkylene oxide moiety, a carboxyl group, an amino group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, a sulfate ester salt, a hydroxyl group, all the salts described above, and quaternary ammonium salts in general. The printing member is preferably a lithographic printing member. It can be used for wet or dry printing. |
