titleOfInvention Blower for molten metal gas treatment
abstract (57) [Summary] A blowing device for blowing gas into molten metal. The blowing device has a rotor that is rotatable around a rotation axis and includes a side surface without a columnar protrusion, a bottom surface, and an internal space that is disposed at the center of the rotor with respect to the center axis and that receives molten metal. The rotor has a plurality of openings spaced about the rotor on the side surface to release molten metal and gas from the rotor during rotation of the rotor about the axis of rotation. At least one opening in the bottom surface communicates with the cavity to receive molten metal therein, and a plurality of passages disposed in the rotor define the cavity and the opening in the side surface. Communicating. A gas line introduces gas into the molten metal present in the rotor, but has at least one outlet opening to at least one of the plurality of lines without directly communicating with the void. To ensure normal and uniform gas distribution. The invention further relates to a molten metal degassing device comprising a gutter-like container for transporting molten metal from an inlet to an outlet, and at least one blowing device of the type described above.
