abstract | (57) Abstract: A method for producing a print on a foil surface comprises: placing a thermal transfer ribbon in surface contact with the foil surface; and contacting an energizable printing means with the thermal transfer ribbon on the opposite side of the foil. Displacing the foil and the energizable printing means with respect to each other at a specific speed, and pressing the energizable printing means and the foil together so as to restrict the thermal transfer ribbon therebetween. Energizing the energizable printing means simultaneously; and applying the thermal transfer ribbon relative to the energizable printing means at a reduced speed relative to a specific speed of the foil relative to the energizable printing means. And, as a result, moving the thermal transfer ribbon relative to the foil to transfer the ink at a particular portion of the thermal transfer ribbon to a particular area of the foil that constitutes the print, Including; step by the movement of the relative thermal transfer ribbon in foil ink in a specific site of the thermal transfer ribbon coated on the foil. |
