abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide an actuator using an intercalation substance, a driving method and a driving system thereof, which become a new mechanochemical system. An actuator is configured using an intercalation substance, and a drive system is configured by the actuator and a solution supply system. The host material of the intercalation material includes at least one kind of inorganic or organic layered material, and the guest material is an ion or a molecule existing in a solvent. Displacement is caused by moving the guest substance in and out of the layer of the host substance with accompanying molecules of the solvent. |
