abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a first agent for an oxidative hair dye which has high dyeing power to hair and has little damage to hair due to hair dyeing treatment. SOLUTION: The first agent for an oxidative hair dye is constituted by containing an oxidation dye and cystine or a derivative thereof. The cystine derivative is preferably N, N'-diacetylcystine, and the content of the oxidized dye in the first agent for oxidized hair dye is preferably 0.01 to 5% by weight. 0.1-20 as quantity % By weight is preferred.
