(57) [Summary] [Problem] In conventional ink jet recording, even on a substrate that is difficult to directly record, there is no bleeding, high resolution, high color development, no image distortion, and high image quality. Provided are an ink jet image receiving sheet capable of obtaining a high quality image and an image forming method in which the image has high durability. SOLUTION: An ink-jet recording method is used to form an ink-jet image receiving sheet on an ink-jet image-receiving sheet in an amount of 40 parts by mass to 9 parts by mass. Using water-based ink in which 5 parts by weight of water is used, an image is formed by adjusting the total amount of shot ink to 250% or less, and then the image is heated and pressed onto a transfer-receiving medium to transfer the image. An ink jet image receiving sheet used in the method, wherein the ink receiving layer contains a hydrophilic resin and a thermoplastic resin. |
