abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate having good flatness, excellent adhesion between a base film and metal wiring, high reliability such as flex life, and fine wiring formed at high density. And a thin flexible wiring board. SOLUTION: A flexible base film (2), a metal wiring layer (3) formed on the flexible base film, and a flexible cover layer formed on the metal wiring layer A flexible wiring board comprising (4). The metal wiring layer is made of a composite member having a penetrating or non-penetrating metal wiring (6) formed by selectively impregnating a porous insulator (5) with a metal. It is preferable that a region length of the metal wiring in a vertical cross section of the metal wiring layer is minimum at an exposed surface of the metal wiring layer and maximum at a central portion of the thickness of the metal wiring layer. |
