abstract | (57) [Problem] A magnetic recording medium has a back layer provided on the back of a support from the viewpoint of runnability and durability, but wear of steel beads used in manufacturing a dispersion for forming the back layer is reduced. There is a problem that the powder causes poor appearance and dropout. SOLUTION: Before coating a dispersion for forming a back layer on a non-magnetic support and providing a back layer, the dispersion and a magnet made of neodymium are brought into contact with each other to remove abrasion powder. The apparatus used in this method includes a container 2 having an inlet 11 and an outlet 12 and a magnet 3 inside the container 2. The dispersion liquid is introduced into the container 2 from the inlet 11 and contacts the magnet 3. After that, the treated dispersion was allowed to flow out of the outlet 12. |
