(57) [Summary] (Modified) [PROBLEMS] To provide a photoreceptor having an electrophotographic, more specifically, a silsesquioxane protective film containing a hydroxy-substituted hole transport agent. An electrophotographic device includes a conductive layer, a charge generation layer covering the conductive layer, and a charge transport layer covering the conductive layer. The charge transport layer, which may be a protective coating over the charge generation layer, comprises a mixture of a silsesquioxane polymer and a hole transport compound comprising a tertiary arylamine containing at least one alcohol or phenolic hydroxy substituent.
