PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for measuring the activity of one or more cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) in a sample based on quantification of a CDK-phosphorylated Rb protein. SOLUTION: The present cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) The method of measuring the activity is as follows: i) contacting the sample with an anti-retinoblastoma protein (Rb) capture antibody that specifically recognizes CDK phosphorylated Rb; ii) contacting the capture antibody-Rb complex Contacting with an anti-Rb primary antibody, and isolating the capture antibody-Rb-primary antibody complex; and iii) quantifying the primary antibody present in the capture antibody-Rb-primary antibody complex.
