abstract |
(57) Abstract: A polyglutarimide resin usually has an acid and acid anhydride content of 0.3 milliequivalent or more per gram of resin, so that a transparent material such as polyacrylonitrile-styrene or vinyl chloride is used. When a composition is produced by mixing with a thermoplastic resin, it is difficult to obtain a transparent composition without complete compatibility. SOLUTION: The acid and the acid anhydride in the polyglutarimide resin are esterified with tetraalkylammonium hydroxide / methyl halide so that the acid and the acid anhydride content can be reduced to the initial values of 0 to 0 at a low temperature in a short time. It can be reduced to 99%, and the compatibility with other thermoplastic resins is improved. |
