PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release sulfur poisoning of a catalytic metal even during operation in a stoichiometric to rich range and to efficiently purify NOx. To provide a purification catalyst and a NOx purification system. SOLUTION: It is used for an exhaust gas purification process in a lean region or a stoichiometric to rich region, and contains a catalytic metal and an oxygen absorbing / releasing material, and the catalytic metal carried on the oxygen absorbing / releasing material reduces SOx in the exhaust gas. NO adsorbed as sulfate or sulfite x purification catalyst. The catalytic noble metal contains platinum. 5 platinum This is a NOx purification catalyst that is supported on the ceria at a rate of about 50% and adsorbs SOx as sulfate or sulfite. |
