(57) [Summary] The present invention provides a medium for rapid detection of food poisoning bacteria, particularly a medium for rapidly detecting Salmonella and Shigella present in a stool specimen. The object of the present invention is to provide (1) a substance that causes a black colony of Salmonella to develop a black color due to iron sulfide production, This was achieved by a Salmonella shigella detection medium containing (2) Shigella non-degradable sugar and (3) a substance that promotes Shigella growth. |
