abstract (57) [Summary] (with correction) [PROBLEMS] To maintain the water repellency of a thin film formed on glass even under high temperature conditions. SOLUTION: A thin film containing silicon oxide as a main component, and by mixing fine particles 1 of a high melting point fluorine compound with the thin film, the heat resistance of the water-repellent coating is improved. The fluorine compound fine particles are at least one of tetrafluoroethylene and a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer. Furthermore, by forming a thin film containing alkylsilane compound 3 as a main component on the thin film after forming a thin film containing fine particles of a fluorine compound, Further, by mixing an alkylsilane compound with a thin film containing fine particles of a fluorine compound, a water-repellent film having not only heat resistance and durability but also excellent water repellency and wear resistance can be realized.
