abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an NVP-containing resin composition capable of reducing a peculiar odor caused by N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP), and a resin having a low odor produced by the method Provided are a composition and a cosmetic containing the resin composition. A monomer component containing 0.1 to 100% by weight of NVP (A) and 99.9 to 0% by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated double bond-containing monomer (B) copolymerizable with NVP (A). In a method for producing a resin composition comprising a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing the above, during or after copolymerizing the monomer component, 0.0001 to 20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the monomer component NVP characterized by adding parts by weight of a reducing compound (C) A method for producing a resin composition containing NVP, an NVP-containing resin composition produced by the method, and a cosmetic comprising the NVP-containing resin composition.
