abstract | (57) Abstract A magnetic toner particle is disclosed. These magnetic toner particles contain at least one polymer binder and at least one magnetic additive, and the surface of these toner particles contains positively chargeable inorganic fine powder particles. These inorganic fine powder particles have a particle size of about 0.5 to about 7 μm. m and a cleaning ratio of about 0.1 to about 5.0. This cleaning ratio is obtained by dividing the volume fraction of particles having a size of 0 to 1.0 μm by the volume fraction of particles having a size larger than 1.0 μm. These toner particles have on their surface a flow improver having a BET surface area of at least about 30 m 2 / g. Further, a method for forming an electrostatic image is disclosed. Further disclosed are images formed from these magnetic toner particles, these images comprising: It has good character gap frequency, total void area, and good magnetic signal strength. Further, a developer containing the magnetic toner particles of the present invention is disclosed. |
