(57) [Problem] To provide a method for reducing the amount of NOx generated when a hybrid inflator is operated. SOLUTION: A gas generator having an inflator housing filled with a pressurized medium, and one or more gas generating chambers containing a gas generating agent containing a fuel and an oxidizing agent, which is stored in the inflator housing. A method for reducing nitrogen oxides generated during operation of a hybrid inflator for an inflatable safety system of a vehicle having an airbag having an ignition means connected to a gas generator, wherein at least nitrogen oxide is contained in the hybrid inflator. A method for reducing nitrogen oxides in a hybrid inflator in which a reducing compound having a substance reducing function is arranged. |
