titleOfInvention | Light scattering type liquid crystal element |
abstract | (57) [Summary] (With correction) [Problems to be solved by the invention] A problem to be solved by the present invention is that bright white display is possible without a backlight, and fine characters and figures are blurred due to parallax or double characters. It is an object of the present invention to provide a light-scattering type liquid crystal element having high visibility which does not appear to be visible. SOLUTION: There are two transparent substrates having an electrode layer and a dimming layer formed between the substrates and a liquid crystal and a transparent solid substance. In the light scattering type liquid crystal device having an air layer between the transparent substrate on the back side and the reflective layer, the distance between the dimming layer and the reflective layer is shorter than the short side of the pixel electrode. A light-scattering liquid crystal device, wherein the distance is 4 times or less, and the distance between the light control layer and the reflection layer is 0.8 mm or less. |
