(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a honeycomb structure and a honeycomb structure assembly having excellent durability against heat and vibration during use. SOLUTION: This is a honeycomb structure formed by integrating a plurality of honeycomb segments 2 each having a honeycomb structure and having a large number of flow holes 6 penetrating in an axial direction partitioned by partition walls. The honeycomb structure has a structure in which a compression elastic material A3 is disposed on at least a part of a surface where adjacent honeycomb segments 2 are close to each other. A honeycomb structure assembly 8 in which the honeycomb structure is compressed and held in a metal container 11 by arranging a compression elastic material B5 in a compressed state on the outer periphery of the honeycomb structure. |
