abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a battery capable of selecting a binder for a negative electrode and improving characteristics. SOLUTION: A negative electrode 22 is composed of a negative electrode mixture layer 22b containing a negative electrode material capable of inserting and extracting lithium, a polymer having a diene structure as a binder, and a cellulose derivative as a thickener. A polymer having a diene structure, for example, a styrene-butadiene copolymer is excellent in binding properties, but it is difficult to form a coating film by coagulation alone on a negative electrode material. By using a cellulose derivative, for example, carboxymethylcellulose, in combination, a suitable viscosity is given to the negative electrode mixture as a slurry, and the binder having a diene structure can be dispersed. |
