abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To increase the brightness of a plasma image screen. SOLUTION: The front plate (1) is composed of a dielectric layer (4) and UV Glass plate on which reflective layer (8) and protective layer (5) are applied (3). The UV reflective layer (8) is in the wavelength range of plasma emission (> 172 nm), exhibiting high reflectivity and exhibiting high transmittance in the visible light wavelength region. The UV reflection layer (8) reflects the UV light (12) emitted in the direction of the front plate (1) in the direction of the phosphor (10).
