SOLUTION: FO-6979-M0, -M1, -M 2, a microorganism having the ability to produce -M3 and -M4 substances is cultured in a medium, and the FO-6979-M 0, -M1, -M2, -M3 and -M4 substances were accumulated and FO-6979-M0, -M1, -M 2. Collect the -M3 and -M4 materials. [Effect] Since this substance has low toxicity and specifically inhibits acyl coenzyme A cholesterol acyltransferase, it is useful for prevention and treatment of diseases caused by cholesterol accumulation in humans.
