Photocatalytic hazardous substance decomposition equipment |
abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide a low-cost photocatalyst-based harmful substance decomposition apparatus that efficiently decomposes harmful substances. A harmful substance decomposition device using a photocatalyst, in which a fluid containing a harmful substance flows in from an inlet (6) and flows out from an outlet (7), having a photocatalyst fixed on the surface and rotatable in a flow path of the fluid. And a visible light source 2 for irradiating the photocatalyst with visible light, and irradiating the photocatalyst with visible light while stirring the fluid in the apparatus by rotation of the rotator 1 In addition, a photocatalyst-based harmful substance decomposition apparatus characterized in that the chance of contact between the harmful substance and the photocatalyst is increased and the harmful substance contained in the fluid is decomposed at a high decomposition rate. Since a white fluorescent lamp can be used as the visible light source 2 and a normal colorless and transparent glass cylinder can be used as the transparent member 3, the cost of the apparatus can be reduced as compared with the case where ultraviolet rays are used. |
