(57) Abstract: The present invention is formed from a golf ball, a center, at least one cover layer, and a stretched material wound between the center and the cover layer. And a method of manufacturing a golf ball having at least one wound layer. Such a golf ball has an optimal recovery rate for a player having a slow swing speed. A player with such a slow swing speed typically swings the glove at a low speed and hits the ball, thus shortening the flight distance of the ball away from the tee, so that the greater the resilience of the ball, the greater the distance and speed from the tee . Suitably, the golf ball has a core with a thin wound layer wound with a thread. The wound layer of the present invention can be applied to liquid or solid center golf balls to achieve desired golf ball properties. |
