(57) [Problem] To continuously discharge a polymer phase and a solvent phase from a polymerization tank in a continuous polymerization process of a PAS, so that the PAS composition (concentration) in the polymerization tank is always constant. SOLUTION: In a method for continuously producing a polyarylene sulfide by reacting a sulfur source and a dihalogenated aromatic compound in an aprotic organic solvent, a polymerization reaction in which a polymer phase as a dispersed phase is spherical droplets.
