abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To prevent the generation of purple smoke due to sulfuric acid mist simply and at low cost. SOLUTION: A flue 1 that guides flue gas from a boiler or the like to a chimney 9. In addition, a wet EP 7 for collecting sulfuric acid mist in flue gas is provided, and a sodium carbonate supply device 10 for injecting sodium hydrogen carbonate powder into a flue upstream of the wet EP is provided. The sodium bicarbonate injected into the flue by the sodium carbonate supply device 10 forms porous particles of sodium carbonate (Na 2 CO 3 ) by thermal decomposition and generates a sulfuric acid component (SO 3 or , Gaseous and mist-like H 2 SO 4 ) to form Na 2 SO 4 . For this reason, the amount of sulfuric acid mist flowing into the wet EP is reduced, so that the processing capacity of the wet EP can be set small, and the apparatus cost of the wet EP is greatly reduced.
