abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a cleaner-less image forming method free from occurrence of a positive afterimage and a negative afterimage. SOLUTION: The transfer includes a latent image forming step of forming a latent image on the surface of the latent image holding member, a developing step of developing the latent image using toner, and a transfer step of transferring the toner image onto a support. In an image forming method for recovering the toner remaining on the surface of the latent image holding body into a developing device at the same time that the latent image is visualized in a developing step, a toner having a dielectric constant of 3.8 or less is used.
