abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for performing partial plating with high pattern accuracy in a simple process. A partial plating method for plating a part of a substrate, wherein a self-assembling compound capable of forming a self-assembled monomolecular film by adsorbing on the surface of the substrate is provided on the surface of the substrate. To form a self-assembled monolayer, and a second step of removing a desired portion of the self-assembled monolayer from the self-assembled monolayer formed in the first step.
