PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing exo-THDC by isomerizing endo-THDC in the presence of an anhydrous aluminum halide catalyst, in which the generation of by-products is suppressed and the reaction time is significantly reduced. And industrially advantageous exo-THD C is produced. SOLUTION: In a method for producing exo-tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene by isomerizing endo-tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene in the presence of an anhydrous aluminum halide catalyst, an aluminum halide hydrate is used as a co-catalyst. |
