PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug for the purpose of improving the hepatic function of the remnant liver during and after hepatic resection surgery. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a novel drug for improving the liver function of a liver having residual hepatic dysfunction after hepatectomy such as liver cancer. The present invention provides a compound represented by the general formula (1): (Wherein, PY is a pyridinyl group or a condensed pyridinyl group which may be substituted with one or two lower alkyl groups; R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R 2 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; A nitro group, a cyano group, a hydrogen atom, a carbamyl group, a halogen atom, or an amino group. 2) (1H) The present invention relates to an agent for improving liver function in a remnant liver after hepatectomy, which comprises one or more of a pyridinone derivative, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate thereof as an active ingredient. |
