(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To be less susceptible to the influence of volatile anesthetics contained in excess anesthetic gas. Provided are a nitrous oxide decomposition catalyst capable of reducing the amount of generated Ox to less than an allowable concentration, a method for producing the same, and a method for decomposing nitrous oxide using the catalyst. SOLUTION: Nitrous oxide is decomposed using a catalyst or the like in which at least one noble metal selected from the group consisting of rhodium, ruthenium and palladium is supported on a carrier selected from silica or silica alumina. |
