(57) [Summary] To industrially produce L-type nucleic acid derivatives as pharmaceuticals, a new efficient synthesis method was required. SOLUTION: L-arabinose, which is one of the few L-type saccharides that can be easily obtained industrially, is used as a raw material, To provide a method capable of industrially producing a type nucleic acid derivative in a short step, and to provide a synthetic intermediate useful for producing various L-type nucleic acid derivatives. The present invention has found a new method for producing 2,2′-anhydro-1- (β-L-arabinofuranosyl) thymine, a novel and useful synthetic intermediate. Furthermore, a new method for producing L-thymidine from 2,2′-anhydro-1- (β-L-arabinofuranosyl) thymine has been found. Also, a new method for producing a useful synthetic intermediate L-2'-deoxyribose derivative via an L-2,2'-anhydro-5,6-dihydrocyclouridine derivative has been found. As described above, it has become possible to synthesize various L-type nucleic acid derivatives which have been difficult so far. |
