abstract (57) [Problem] In a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery such as a lithium ion secondary battery using graphite as a negative electrode active material and dimethoxyethane as an organic solvent for an electrolyte, a specific graphite as the above graphite is used. By using such a secondary battery, it is possible to provide the above secondary battery having excellent charge / discharge characteristics and high charge / discharge efficiency and high reliability. SOLUTION: In a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a negative electrode using graphite as an active material, an organic electrolyte solution containing dimethoxyethane, and a positive electrode, the graphite is measured at 1,350 cm -1 as measured by a Raman scattering method. Wherein the R value [I '/ I], which is the ratio of the peak intensity [I'] to the peak intensity [I] at 1,580 cm -1 , is 0.150 or less. battery.
