titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display cell |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a liquid crystal display cell which can reduce the amount of movable ions in a liquid crystal display panel and therefore has low power consumption and excellent display quality and long-term reliability. SOLUTION: On a surface of at least one substrate, a pair of substrates with a transparent electrode, which are sequentially laminated with a transparent electrode film, a transparent electrode protective film and an alignment film, are arranged at a predetermined distance so that the respective transparent electrodes face each other. In a liquid crystal display cell in which liquid crystal is sealed in a gap provided between the pair of transparent electrode-attached substrates, and a gap at the periphery of the transparent electrode is hermetically sealed with a sealant. At least one of the electrode protective film, the alignment film, and the sealant contains ion-adsorbing fine particles, and the ion-adsorbing fine particles have the formula (i): R a -Si (OR ′) 4-a (wherein , R is -C n H 2n + 1 and R ' Is -C n H 2n + 1 or -C 2 H 4 OC n H 2n + 1, a is an integer of 0 to 3, n is an integer of 1 to 4. Ion-adsorbing inorganic fine particles surface-treated with an organosilicon compound or a hydrolyzate of an organosilicon compound represented by i) A liquid crystal display cell characterized by being ion-adsorbing organic fine particles. |
