abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] A double-structured electrode used for a display portion can be thinned and thinned, the aperture ratio of the electrode can be increased, and the luminance of a discharge cell can be improved. Further, the present invention provides a plasma display and a method of manufacturing the same, which can manufacture the electrode easily and inexpensively using simple equipment and can reduce the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In the plasma display of the present invention, a ladder-like and thin main body electrode and a long and thick enough are secured on a surface 1a of a glass substrate 1 on a front side of a pair of glass substrates opposed to each other. Electrode 2 integrated with busbar electrode 1 are formed in parallel with each other by offset printing, a plurality of second electrodes orthogonal to the electrode 21 are formed in parallel on the surface of the glass substrate on the back side, and a concave portion formed between the second electrodes is a discharge cell.
