abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a norbornene-based cyclic olefin addition polymer having a controlled molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution, in which the polymerization activity is further improved. SOLUTION: When one or more norbornene-based cyclic olefins are subjected to addition polymerization in the presence of a polymerization catalyst containing a transition metal compound of the Periodic Table No. 8 to 10, at least one cyclic non-conjugated compound is used as a molecular weight regulator. Polyene is added and polymerized. |
