PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treatment agent and a hair treatment agent composition which are excellent in conditioning properties such as flexibility, moist feeling, smoothness, and the like imparted to hair, and which are further excellent in biodegradability. SOLUTION: A hair treatment agent comprising a compound represented by the following general formula (1).
