abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a control device for an actuator capable of easily detecting the vibration amplitude of a vibration type actuator and performing high-precision control at low cost. An output SOUT which is a vibration amplitude of a piezoelectric element SPZT3 is compared by comparators 6 and 7 having different threshold values, and pulse widths of output pulses of the comparators 6 and 7 are detected by pulse width detection means 10 and 11, respectively. The vibration amplitude detected from the pulse width is obtained using a conversion table.
